7. Right to Rule

(2 Timothy 2:12, 1 Corinthians 6:2-3, Revelation 20:6 &22:5)

As God’s people, we are the nobility and the ruling class. Thus, we are children of the King! 1 Peter 2:9 says we are a "royal priesthood," that is why we must always serve the Lord with our heads held high. We have the blood of the King in us; we will rule. The saints will judge the world (1 Corinthians 6:2-3). We will be kings, judges, and rulers. In the book of Revelations, there is the sneak preview of what will happen. In chapter 20 verse 6, all the saints who have died in Christ will be resurrected and will reign with Him for a thousand years (or the millennial reign of Christ. This is how God will compensate our hardships on earth, "if we endure, we will also reign with him" (2 Timothy 2:12). So, do not back away from righteous sufferings. As believers, our posture and habits must be dictated by our being children of the King.

8. Right to Know and be Known

(Galatians 4:9, 1 Corinthians 13:12, 1 Corinthians 2:12, John 14:15;25 & 15:15)

Praise the Lord for we now know who God is. And this God whom we know, actually knows us too! This God who is separated from His creation by layers of heaven has chosen to live inside of us. He is in us; in fact, we are being shaped and molded into His image and likeness. We know Him and God knows us (Galatians 4:9). There will come a time that we will have a face-to-face meeting with God. Right now, we know God but what we know about Him is not yet thorough because we are still in this body of ours (1 Corinthians 13:12). We have come already to the end of the last days, to a time that God is ready to reveal Himself to us. That is why we should never live in ignorance and clueless as to what is God's will for us. God knowing us is a great source of security. When Job was tested, he never surrendered his faith in God; because Job knows that God knows. "But he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold," says Job (Job 23:10). All throughout the period that everything he held dear was taken away from him, he held on to God. Take comfort in the fact that the God in heaven knows you. He actually called you by your name and He will not abandon or forsake anyone of His.
