5. Right to Receive Divine Protection and Security

(Romans 8:31-34, Matthew 16:18, 2 Peter 2:9, Hebrews 13:5)

Romans 8:31 says "What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?” Think of any force or person out there who will seek to bring you down and he will be no match to our God. We are living in economically hard times, but do not despair and lose hope. God has an abundance of provisions for you. Satan cannot bring you down because God's got your back. He is your supporter, friend, and fortress. As long as you are part of the church, death will not overcome you because God is on your side (Matthew 16:18). If you are going through trials, marital woes, sicknesses, or financial problems, remain godly because God will rescue only the godly men (2 Peter 2:9). So when you go through tough times, remember that God is with you (Hebrews 3:5). God is obligated to protect us and secure us by the covenant we entered in thru Jesus Christ. Jesus once prayed this to the Father, "I will remain in the world no longer, but they are still in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, protect them by the power of your name- the name you gave me..."

6. Right to be Empowered

(Acts 1:8, Ephesians 1:19,2 Peter 1:3, Acts 3:12, Ephesians 6:10)

Once you become a believer, God will empower you. Before we accepted Jesus Christ, we were filled with weaknesses and limitations, inadequate in our own selves, and helpless under the dictates of the enemy. But when God saved us, He gave us power. That power is in the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8) And what comes with power is authority. As children of God, we do not only have the right but also the authority to use power. And this power must be used to serve the Lord for it takes supernatural power to serve Him. Thus, let us not serve the Lord in weakness because it will not profit the work of God "for God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline" (2 Timothy 1:7). In Ephesians 1:19, Paul says, "his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is like the working of his mighty strength." If you will believe, you will have power. This is not the time for us to doubt but it is time to take the knowledge of God seriously. Power is often displayed in times of our weaknesses. That's why God often times, allows us to be in that position of trials so that we can experience His power. Many believers today are serving the Lord but not utilizing His power. Instead, they are relying on their own strength and willpower. But man's own meager power is not sufficient to thwart the work of the enemy. The only power that is effective against the enemy is the power of God. And every believer who will rely on the power of God will always experience victory and success.
